Camp Mora: Day 18, two-a-day schedule concludes
Posted by Danny O'Neil
| SEAHAWKS TRAINING CAMP: Day 18 Two practices, No pads, 1 hour, 15 minutes each | ||
Roll call: Seven players did not practice. Only new absence was No. 22 Julius Jones, who worked in the morning but not in the evening. Still out: CB Marcus Trufant (PUP, back), LB Aaron Curry (groin), OL Grey Ruegamer (elbow), T Walter Jones (knee), WR Nate Burleson (hamstring) and DL Lawrence Jackson (groin). Returned to practice: DL Michael Bennett. Also C Chris Spencer and T Ray Willis practiced in the evening after the customary morning off.
"We've given him all kinds of opportunities," quarterback Matt Hasselbeck said, "and he seems like he takes every rep out there. The guy is like a golden retriever, he just runs and comes back and runs and comes back. He doesn't complain and he's great.
"He has worked harder than anybody I have seen here to be ready for this season."
And with that, the two-a-day portion of the Seahawks' practice schedule concludes, punctuated by the sounds of Kool and the Gang's "Celebrate" being played in the locker room.
