Seahawks agreed to terms with second-rounder Max Unger
Posted by Danny O'Neil
It is a four-year deal guaranteed to pay Unger $1.95 million and totals well over $3 million.
The deal leaves linebacker Aaron Curry as the only Seahawks' draft pick who has yet to sign. Curry was drafted No. 4, and the vast majority of first-round choices remain unsigned.
Unger was drafted out of Oregon, and played left guard during the offseason minicamps. He will compete for playing time when training camp begins on Friday.
Unger was a player the Seahawks considered choosing with their second-round pick, No. 37 overall. They traded away that pick when Denver offered its first-round selection next year, but when Unger was still available at No. 49, the Seahawks traded their third and fourth-round choices to move up and pick Unger.
Tight end John Carlson, last year's second-round pick, did not sign until training camp had begun. Same for Lofa Tatupu, the team's second-round pick in 2005. Unger's signing means he will report with the rest of Seattle's rookies on Thursday.
