Seahawks sign WR Deon Butler to a four-year contract

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Seattle signed Deon Butler, it's third-round draft pick, to a contract. The team did not announce terms, but it is a four-year deal. There was no word on the contract total or the signing bonus.

That leaves two rookies unsigned: First-round pick Aaron Curry and second-round choice Max Unger.

There are only two first-round choices currently signed to contracts: Top overall pick Matthew Stafford of Detroit and No. 5 pick Mark Sanchez of the Jets.

  •   First-round signing status according to NFL.com.

Update, 3:29 p.m.: ProFootballTalk.com reports that Butler's signing bonus was $680,750 and the four-year total maxes out at $3.173 million if all escalators are achieved. Here's a link to ProFootballTalk.com's report.
