Seahawks two-minute drill
Player of the game Matt Hasselbeck completed 39 passes, breaking his franchise record for completions in a game.
Player of the game
Matt Hasselbeck completed 39 passes, breaking his franchise record for completions in a game. He also attempted 51 passes, his third-most in any game of his career and his 329 yards were his most in a game since he threw for 337 yards against Chicago on Nov. 18, 2007.
Play of the game
Detroit had the ball at its 47, third-and-10 with 35 seconds left in the game. Quarterback Matthew Stafford attempted to get the ball outside to receiver Bryant Johnson. That might work in college, but this is the NFL. Seahawks cornerback Josh Wilson cut off the route, picked off the pass and returned it 61 yards for the game-clinching touchdown.
Injuries
Cornerback Ken Lucas hurt the ulnar nerve on his elbow as he attempted to defend Detroit's Bryant Johnson on his diving catch for a 29-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Wilson replaced Lucas at right cornerback for most of the game, but Mora said Lucas may not be limited this next week by the injury. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck said his shoulder hurt after he tackled the Lions' Louis Delmas following a first-quarter interception. Hasselbeck never left the field, though.
He said what?
Coach Jim Mora: "I didn't sense any panic on our bench when we got down 17-0. I felt a resolve amongst our players ... I just felt like our guys remained confident and remained focused."
Lucas returns in reserve role
Are you second-guessing Seattle's decision to go for it on fourth-and-one at its own 38 in the first quarter? The man who made the decision is, too. "Even if we'd have made it, it wouldn't have been a good decision," Mora said. Julius Jones was stopped for no gain, Seattle turned it over on downs and Detroit began a third consecutive possession on the Seahawks' half of the field.
Locklear sits
Tackle Sean Locklear was active for Sunday's game, but he was the only Seahawk who did not play.
