Player of the game

Larry Fitzgerald didn't have a reception of more than 19 yards, but what he lacked in quality he made up for in quantity. He caught 13 passes for 100 yards and a 2-yard touchdown. In the past three games against Seattle, he has caught 28 passes for 381 yards.

Play of the game

Arizona's first kickoff. After the Cardinals held the ball for nearly 11 minutes to start the game, Seattle was about to get its hands on the ball when it ran into a problem — it couldn't get its hands on the ball. Neil Rackers kicked a pooch kick, too shallow for one of Seattle's deep returners. Tight end John Owens was near, but ran forward to block. Greg Toler recovered the ball for Arizona, and three plays later the Cardinals scored their second touchdown.

Injuries

For the Seahawks, linebacker Lofa Tatupu suffered a torn pectoral muscle and is out for the season. Defensive end Patrick Kerney reinjured his groin muscle and did not play in the second half. Cornerback Kelly Jennings suffered injuries to his ribs and hip. For the Cardinals, wide receiver Anquan Boldin suffered an ankle injury in the first half and did not play in the second half.

He said what?

"When you have your foot on someone else's throat, you leave it there," Arizona's Chike Okeafor said. "You push it in if you need to, but you don't take it off."

Left-side story

Kyle Williams started at left tackle and Steve Vallos started at left guard, replacing Mansfield Wrotto. In six games this season, Seattle has had three starting left tackles (Sean Locklear, Brandon Frye and Williams) and three starting left guards (Rob Sims, Wrotto and Vallos).

Lucas returns in reserve role

Ken Lucas missed practices this week to attend the funeral of his father Friday in Mississippi. Kelly Jennings and Josh Wilson started at cornerback, but Lucas was involved in some coverage packages.

By the numbers

43 seconds time of possession for Seattle in the first quarter compared to 14:17 for Arizona.

15 yards rushing Edgerrin James needs to pass Marcus Allen (12,243) for 10th in career rushing yardage.

3 points, Seattle's lowest total since it was shut out at Pittsburgh on Oct. 7, 2007.
