TV Clicks and Picks

Analysis and predictionsby Danny O'Neil of The Seattle Times

Sunday's games Time Pick
Houston at Cincinnati 10 a.m. Texans, 27-23
Close calls: Bengals have yet to play a game decided by more than seven points.
Detroit at Green Bay 10 a.m. Packers, 27-16
Packers' O-line has been the brown-bag brigade, allowing league-high 20 sacks in four games.
St. Louis at Jacksonville 10 a.m. Jaguars, 30-9
Rams have held the lead for all of 12 minutes, 29 seconds in their five losses.
Baltimore at Minnesota 10 a.m. (Ch. 7) Ravens, 26-21
Ravens scored 34.3 points in first three games and went 3-0. They've totaled 35 points in the past two and have gone 0-2.
N.Y. Giants at New Orleans 10 a.m. Giants, 27-20
Reputations can be misleading: Giants have scored 2nd-most points in the league, Saints have allowed 3rd-fewest.
Cleveland at Pittsburgh 10 a.m. Steelers, 24-6
Browns could complete only two passes against Buffalo; how are they going to survive Blitzburgh?
Carolina at Tampa Bay 10 a.m. Panthers, 20-19
Coach Raheem Morris' halftime speeches could use some work; Bucs have been outscored 33-0 in the 3rd quarter.
Kansas City at Washington 10 a.m. Washington, 17-12
This is the sixth consecutive week Washington has played a team that entered the game without a win.
Philadelphia at Oakland 1:05 p.m. Eagles, 34-13
Raiders have been outscored 96-16 in their previous three games.
Arizona at Seattle 1 p.m. (Ch. 13) Cardinals, 27-23
Cardinals have league's top passing offense, worst passing defense, and the worst rushing offense, best rushing defense.
Tennessee at New England 1:15 p.m. Patriots, 24-20
Expect a rebound. New England has lost consecutive games only once in previous six seasons.
Buffalo at N.Y. Jets 1:15 p.m. Jets, 24-13
Bills scored 57 points their first two games, just 20 their past three.
Chicago at Atlanta 5:20 p.m. Falcons, 27-26
Bears tied for fourth in the league with 14 sacks, but no one has allowed fewer sacks than Falcons, who've given up two.
Monday's game Time Pick
Denver at San Diego 5:30 p.m. (ESPN) Chargers, 23-20
Broncos defense has played so well it's almost possible to forgive them for last weekend's brown uniforms. Almost.
Byes: Dolphins, Colts, 49ers, Cowboys.

Last week: 9-5. Season record: 50-25 (.667).
