Hit parade

Safety C.J. Wallace drew cheers for his hit that knocked fullback Dan Curran off his feet. Wallace's has shown a penchant for planting teammates on their keisters since the Seahawks donned shoulder pads. On Saturday night, he put tight end Joe Newton on his back and sparked a spirited back-and-forth exchange between quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and safety Brian Russell. Monday, Wallace gave Jordan Kent a pretty solid pop after a catch over the middle.

Roll call

DT Brandon Mebane returned to practice after sitting out Monday's workouts because of a bruised knee.

He wanted to know what

Craig Terrill is in his sixth NFL season, and the veteran has found a key to surviving training camp. Two ice baths a day to flush the lactic acid out of his legs. Last year, the ice bath spawned Terrill's favorite question ever from a journalist. A reporter (not me, I promise) walked by as Terrill stood in the ice bath outside the team's old headquarters in Kirkland. "It's flowing water," Terrill said. "The reporter asked, 'Is that below freezing?' I said, 'Yeah, I'm stuck in a block of ice right now.' That's my favorite question I've ever been asked by a reporter."
