Seahawks fans can watch training camp this season

Those wanting to go must register on the team's Web site

Seattle Times staff reporter

RENTON — The Seahawks' training camp will be open to the public in August for the first time in three years.

A posting on the team's Web site indicated that practices at the team's new headquarters in Renton will be open from Aug. 3 to Aug. 20. The times of those open practices will be announced in July. Any one wishing to view the open practices will have to register at the team's official Web site, www.seahawks.com, beginning July 16.

Seattle has not had an open training camp the previous two years when the practices were at Northwest University. Prior to that, the Seahawks trained in Cheney at Eastern Washington where all the practices were open, which could accommodate the parking needs and fan seating.

The Seahawks moved into their new headquarters along Lake Washington last August.
