Seahawks reach agreement with Knapp as offensive coordinator

Greg Knapp has reached an agreement with the Seahawks to be the new offensive coordinator under coach Jim Mora.
No deal has been signed, but the agreement has been reached and was first reported by the NFL Network, which is owned by the league.
Knapp worked on the same coaching staff as Mora first in San Francisco and then in Atlanta, where he served as Mora's offensive coordinators for three years with the Falcons. Knapp was Oakland's offensive coordinator last season, but lost play-calling responsibilities during the second half of the season. Interim coach Tom Cable began calling the plays.
Knapp's addition casts into question Gil Haskell's future with the Seahawks. Mora met with the current coaching staff Monday. No assistants were told they wouldn't be retained, but several were given an indication they would not be back in the same capacity.
Haskell has been with the Seahawks for eight seasons as the offensive coordinator. It's unclear what his immediate future is.
Many around the league considered Knapp a likely candidate to head to Seattle once Mora became head coach. Tom Rathman, the Raiders' running backs coach, was also considered to be a candidate for the Seahawks' staff.
Also, Seattle on Wednesday interviewed Casey Bradley, an assistant coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Seahawks also received permission to talk to Mel Tucker, Cleveland's defensive coordinator, according to the Web site ProFootballTalk.com.
