Matt Hasselbeck, Deion Branch return to Seahawks practice
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck returned to practice, but will not play Sunday when the Seahawks play at Miami. Receiver Deion Branch also returned to practice today, and he might play Sunday, according to coach Mike Holmgren.

RENTON — Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and wide receiver Deion Branch, both out with injuries for multiple games this season, returned to practice today. Hasselbeck won't play Sunday at Miami, but Branch has a chance to play, coach Mike Holmgren said.
Hasselbeck ran a seven-on-seven drill with the scout team today, his first practice action this week. Hasselbeck also threw some passes to receivers after practice.
"He said he felt pretty good," Holmgren said. "He probably wanted to do some more, but they're kind of easing him into it. If we don't have any setbacks, knock on wood, I suspect he'll practice next week and has a chance to play next week."
Hasselbeck has dealt with leg pain for the past several weeks that is linked to a bulging disk in his back. He has missed the past four games and will miss a fifth, and Seneca Wallace will start again Sunday.
Branch took snaps with the first team but was limited. Both he and Hasselbeck apparently passed physical tests and were cleared to take the field. Branch, who had offseason knee surgery, injured his heel against the New York Giants in Week Five. He has missed seven of the Seahawks' eight games.
"He had his workout [Wednesday], and [Thursday] he felt OK," Holmgren said. "If there's a way I can get him active and not deplete the current group, we're going to look at that. So we'll see if he feels good [Saturday]."
