PHILADELPHIA — Indianapolis Colts receiver Marvin Harrison was interviewed by police about a shooting near his North Philadelphia carwash this week.
Lt. Frank Vanore said the investigation of Tuesday's shooting was continuing. Harrison, 35, has neither been arrested nor charged.
"He was interviewed," Vanore said Friday. "Why he was interviewed, that is all part of the investigation. No one is a suspect."
Vanore told WCAU-TV the shooting occurred near a carwash owned by Harrison and about a half-mile from a bar also owned by the All-Pro receiver.
Earlier, radio station WIP, citing unidentified sources, reported the alleged shooting victim argued with Harrison at Playmakers bar. The victim left and headed to his car, Harrison followed and gunfire broke out, the station reported. The alleged victim was shot in the hand and did not identify the shooter, according to the radio station.
Vanore also said a child was hit in the eyes by broken glass, but was treated and released from a hospital.
Harrison, a former standout at Philadelphia's Roman Catholic High, has owned Playmakers since July 2004, according to state records.
Harrison's agent, Tom Condon, denied the player was involved in the shooting.
"I've spoken with Marvin and I've spoken with his attorney, and they say the reports are erroneous," Condon told ESPN. "Marvin was not involved in any shooting, and he is not the subject of this investigation."
It was business as usual Friday night at the bar, located in the middle of the block in a neighborhood of row houses. Through two large picture windows, a handful of patrons could be seen sitting at the bar, and others were playing pool amid framed football jerseys on the walls.
A man working the door at Playmakers declined to comment on the media reports involving Harrison and would not allow a reporter to enter.
After the first day of the team's rookie minicamp, Colts coach Tony Dungy said he knew little more than had been reported.

"My phone has been ringing, too, but I don't have any details," Dungy said. "I really don't have any more information than you do."
Colts president Bill Polian said in a statement the team would withhold comment until it got more information.
Zorn shows emotion
ASHBURN, Va. — Ex-Seahawk Shawn Springs thought he would have a little fun at Washington's minicamp when he intercepted a pass, so he lateraled the ball to Fred Smoot. Smoot tipped the ball around like a volleyball before it fell to the ground.
That is when the rookie coach made his presence known. Rather emphatically.
"Don't do that!" Jim Zorn shouted on his first day of running practices. "Don't mess around like that! You get the ball, you keep it!"
Zorn, 54, is a former Seahawks quarterbacks coach.
Notes
• Cornerback Lito Sheppard, 27, reported for a mandatory minicamp, ending speculation he might hold out until the Philadelphia Eagles trade him or give him a new contract.
• The Minnesota Vikings want Kenechi Udeze, 25, to focus on his fight against leukemia and not worry about his financial situation.
The defensive end was placed on the reserve-non-football-illness list, coach Brad Childress announced. That makes Udeze ineligible to participate in the 2008 season, but guarantees him his $807,500 salary for the year. Udeze said two weeks ago that the cancer was in remission, and that his older brother has matching bone marrow for a pending transplant.
• Receiver Anquan Boldin, 27, said it is news to him that he is unhappy and wants out of Arizona.
"I've always wanted to be in Arizona," he said on the first day of the Cardinals' minicamp. "This is the only place I've known professionally. I don't want to uproot my family and leave."
Boldin sat out workouts because of a sore hamstring, but said it had nothing to do with any dissatisfaction over his contract.
