Omare Lowe was one of the final training-camp cuts the Seahawks made in 2005.
Three years later, the former Huskies defensive back will get another chance to make Seattle's roster. He agreed to a one-year contract with Seattle on Monday.
Lowe, 29, played for the Huskies from 1998 through 2001 and attended Tahoma High School. He was a fifth-round pick in the 2002 draft, chosen by the Miami Dolphins. He was part of the Seahawks training camp in 2005 and was let go in the final round of cuts. He later signed with the Atlanta Falcons, where he played for coach Jim Mora in 2005 and 2006. Mora is now Seattle's secondary coach.
Lowe spent last season on the injured list; he was placed on injured reserve in August.
