Washington at Seahawks, Qwest Field, 1:30 p.m. (Ch. 5) Saturday

Head coach: Joe Gibbs, fourth season.

Records: Washington 9-7; Seattle 10-6.

Washington's last game: Defeated Dallas at Washington, D.C., 27-6; Clinched NFC's sixth and last playoff seed with victory.

Washington's last meeting vs. Seattle: Jan. 14, 2006, NFC divisional playoffs at Qwest Field. The Seahawks defeated Washington 20-10 on their way to Super Bowl XL. Wide receiver Darrell Jackson caught nine passes for 143 yards, including a touchdown, and Maurice Morris filled in well for Shaun Alexander, who left the game in the first quarter with a concussion. The Seahawks' defense played big and Seattle overcame a couple of special-teams mistakes. Washington WR Santana Moss had seven catches for 103 yards, including a touchdown.

Washington on offense: Quarterback Todd Collins has played well since stepping in for the injured Jason Campbell four weeks ago. Collins, a veteran who lost his starting job in Buffalo 10 years ago and was out of the NFL from 1998 to 2001, is 67 of 105 with five touchdowns and no interceptions over the past four games. RB Clinton Portis has at least 124 yards from scrimmage in each of the past four games, all victories.

Washington on defense: Washington is playing with emotion and inspiration after the death of safety Sean Taylor earlier this season. Its strength is playing against the run, and Washington has allowed only about 13 points per game in the past four. Former Seahawk Shawn Springs has four interceptions.

Players to watch: Portis (325 carries, 1,262 yards, 11 TDs); TE/H-back Chris Cooley (team leader in catches with 66, 786 yards, 8 TDs), Moss (61 catches, 808 yards), LB London Fletcher (128 total tackles), DE Andre Carter (10 ½ sacks).
