Nate Burleson has only four kickoff returns all season. One went for a 91-yard touchdown last Sunday, the first scoring return of his career, and will earn him the honor of NFC Special Teams Player of the Week when the NFL announces its weekly awards today.

Burleson, a wide receiver and punt returner as well, is the second Seahawk to be named special teams player of the week in the conference this season. Backup linebacker Lance Laury was chosen for Week 3 when he caused a fumble that sealed the Seahawks' win over Cincinnati.

Burleson's big return opened the second half Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. It gave the Seahawks a 17-3 lead and broke open a close game.

The Seattle native averages 38 yards per kick return this season, the best mark among all NFL returners with four or more kickoff returns to date.
