Hawks backup QB Wallace agrees to 3-year extension
Seattle Times staff reporter
KIRKLAND — Backup quarterback Seneca Wallace has agreed to a contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks.
Wallace was to become an unrestricted free agent after this season before agreeing to a three-year extension.
Wallace was scheduled to make $800,000 this season from his previous contract, according to the NFL Players Association database. NFL Network, which first reported the deal, said Wallace's new three-year contract is worth $5.4 million.
Wallace started four games for the Seahawks last season when Matt Hasselbeck was out with a knee injury. The Seahawks went 2-2 in those games. He passed for 285 yards in two exhibition games this season, the highest current total in the league.
