Seahawks Camp | Day 18 highlights

Four downs with ...

Deion Branch, wide receiver

Height: 5-9. Weight: 192.

Experience: Sixth year.

College: Louisville.

Hometown: Albany, Ga.

Age: 28.

Do you have a nickname? "Man, a lot of them. Nickname from home? 'Dirty,' which is a Southern thing. I call everybody 'Dirty,' but they call me 'Dirty.' I'm not saying I'm dirty or someone is dirty."

What was your 'Welcome to the NFL' moment? "My rookie year, a long time ago, we played Pittsburgh. It wasn't even a catch, it was a block. I remember peeling back and blocking Lethon Flowers, who played with the Steelers. Donald Hayes [former Patriots receiver] caught a seam route, and I peeled back and got him. He got up and pointed at [another Pats' receiver] Troy Brown and said 'I'm gonna get you.' And Troy Brown was like, 'I didn't do it, Deion did it.' I've taken my licks and stuff, but I get a whole lot more pleasure out of making a block and seeing a guy score."

Nice to be in training camp this year? "It's a great feeling. Nobody wants to be here, but you know, we have to go to work. This is our job. Overall, this is where I'm at peace, when I'm around my teammates. Just being a part of this training camp and getting in the groove with the guys and understanding what the concept is, that's always a positive."

Four artists on your iPod? "R. Kelly, always. Field Mob, which is a group from my hometown. T.I., another guy from Georgia. Everybody from Georgia. Outkast. There's a lot of Southern stuff, but I'm a big R&B guy."

Top offensive play: During team drills in the morning practice, QB Matt Hasselbeck lofted a long pass to the left sideline for WR Deion Branch, who was being covered well by CB Kelly Jennings. Despite Jennings' position, Branch managed to yank the ball out of the air and tiptoe the sideline for a completion.

Top defensive play: Also during the morning practice, CB Josh Wilson stripped the ball out of WR Joe Fernandez's hands after a catch, and the ball tumbled into the hands of S Mike Green for a turnover.

Another Pollard Polaroid moment: TE Marcus Pollard certainly has fun at work, and he showed it in the middle of practice when he ran toward the sideline during a play and stopped to slap hands with former teammate Brock Huard, who was watching the workout along with members of the media. "You all right?" Pollard asked a stunned Huard. The two played together in Indianapolis with the Colts in 2002 and 2003.

The day's big development: OL Floyd Womack is back from a hamstring injury suffered on the second day of training camp, July 30. But LB Leroy Hill, also dealing with a sore hamstring, did not practice after doing so Tuesday.
