Seahawks today @ San Diego Chargers

5 p.m. today at Qualcomm Stadium, Ch. 5/710 AM

Comment: The exhibition opener for both teams. Seattle is 4-3 against the Chargers in exhibition play but lost 31-20 last year in San Diego.

Roster change: Facing an injury-depleted roster at tight end going into tonight's game, the Seahawks signed TE Andy Stokes on Saturday. Seattle released CB Gerard Ross, who played in one playoff game last season. Stokes, the last pick of the 2005 draft (seventh round) by the New England Patriots, spent the '05 season on the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad. The Seahawks are playing tonight without injured tight ends Will Heller and Ben Joppru, and possibly Leonard Stephens, and had only two healthy tight ends available.
