Columbia River coho run updates
Posted by Mark Yuasa
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for Washington and Oregon Fish and Wildlife Departments met on October 26 to review Columbia River coho stock status.
TAC maintains its previous assessment that the run is tracking at or slightly above the 2009 preseason expectation of 703,100 adults returning to the Columbia River mouth with indications that the early component may be slightly less than forecast and the late component may be slightly greater than forecast.
Bonneville Dam counts have exceeded passage expectations. Through October 25, coho counts have totaled of 215,200 adults. The run is typically 97 percent complete by this date.
