Seattle Parks and Recreation youth life jacket sale
Posted by Mark Yuasa
Here's a good way to save a young one from drowning on a fishing or boating outing, which is the second leading cause of unintentional injury death among youth ages 1-14.
Seattle Parks and Recreation is hosting a life jacket sale event 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 16 at Evans Pool, 7201 East Green Lake Dr. North in Seattle.
The Parks and Rec offers this sale in partnership with Seattle Children's Hospital, Fisheries Supply, Rehab Without Walls, and the Coast Guard Auxiliary for their support of this event.
Life jackets in sizes infant to youth large cost $20, and in sizes teens to adult size XXL are $30.
Future events will take place at Evans Pool on the third Saturday of each month this summer: June 20, July 18, August 15 and Sept. 19.
Details: 206-684-7440 or email Diane.Jones@seattle.gov or the Seattle Parks and Recreation Web site.
