Taxpayers weigh in on how to balance the budget

To close a $2.8 billion budget gap, the Legislature is considering a variety of solutions, including a general sales-tax hike, a higher tax on cigarettes, adding the sales tax to bottled water or candy, or even implementing a state income tax on wealthy residents.

We asked some people at Kent Station what they think the Legislature should do.
