Joe Mallahan goes negative

Posted by Emily Heffter

Seattle mayoral candidate Joe Mallahan released this television ad today. It's his first television spot going negative against Mike McGinn. The ad starts out by saying, "It's sad, really..." that McGinn had to resort to a negative ad.

He goes on to reference McGinn's "flip-flop" on the tunnel and quote McGinn saying, in a television interview earlier this month, that he's not the best guy to make sure all "the columns add up." That episode of Up Front seems to have disappeared from KING 5's Web site, but as I recall, McGinn made the statement talking about his management style. He was portraying himself more as a leader rather than a details guy.
