At least $35 million raised for inaugural
President-elect Barack Obama's inaugural committee has raised at least $35 million.
Associated Press Writer
President-elect Barack Obama's inaugural committee has raised at least $35 million.
That's according to new donor information posted on the committee's Web site Tuesday.
The total could be higher than the Web site shows. The committee is only releasing donor information for those who give $200 or more. It says it will have a complete fundraising number in coming days.
The committee's goal is around $42 million - close to the total raised for each of President George W. Bush's two inaugurations.
