BUTTE, Mont. — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama celebrated the Fourth of July with his family in Montana.

At a campaign-sponsored "family picnic" that also was part birthday party for daughter Malia, who turned 10 Friday, he paid tribute to the nation: "I know that there is no other country out there where I could be standing before you as somebody who could potentially be president of the United States."
