James Amandus, a white water kayaker, works on his freestyle technique in Lake Washington at Gene Coulon Park in Renton, WA, Monday. He does a backward flip by using the buoyancy of the air trapped in the bow of the kayak and his skilled body control to accomplish the feat. He says Washington State has the most white water in the country and kayaking is very popular here.
