June 18 - I was waiting in front of the federal courthouse. It was day two of the trial over whether Sonics owner Clay Bennett could break a KeyArena lease with a cash buyout and spirit the NBA team away to Oklahoma City. We were debating whether Bennett would even show. And then he did, surrounded by the type of security guys who talk into the cuffs of their bulky suit coats. I took this photo as Bennett threw an angry glare, looking like some villain out of Central Casting. -- Thomas James Hurst
