An Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon 2008 participant tries to stay warm as swarms of people move into position for the first event kicking off Sunday's big day of races, Nov. 30, 2008, at the Seattle Center in Seattle. More than 15,000 sign up to endure a variety of races from the 1.2-mile Kids race, 5K (both held Saturday), 13.1-mile half marathon run and walk and the marquee 26.2-mile marathon run and walk.
