Runners warm up and gather inside Memorial Stadium under the glow of the Space Needle an hour before the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon 2008 begins Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, near the Experience Music Project at Seattle Center in Seattle. More than 15,000 people participate in the weekend-long event; including a Santa Claus, a barefoot runner, walkers and runners of all ages in several different race categories.
