Visitors to the Mayfield Organic Lavender field enjoy a picnic in the shade on July 1, 2008 near Sutton, England. The Mayfield organic lavender crop, at 25 acres - the largest in Britain, is harvested at the end of July and made into essential oils, fudge and biscuits. Lavender has been grown in this area of Surrey from as long ago as the 17th century.
