Defunct town of Kosmos, Lewis County

Don Thayer, who lived and worked in the old town of Kosmos, rests on a giant cedar stump in what he called "downtown Kosmos" sitting atop old State Highway 12. There is nothing left but a few slabs where buildings once stood, the highway and tree stumps that may be from logging in the valley or floated down Riffe Lake to this site.
