Megan Quann, the defending gold medalist in the 100-meter breaststroke, rises up out of the water on July 8 in the home stretch of that race in the prelims of the U.S. Olympic swim trials. Quann was a distant second to Staciana Stitts who clocked one of the world's fastest times this season at 1:07.20.
