People gather to look high waves from a pier off Huntington Beach, Calif., Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service on Tuesday, high surf advisories and coastal flood warnings were being issued for locations from the Central Coast south to San Diego County as a very large westerly swell generated by a series of Pacific storms began moving into the area.
