Slide damage in the Stillman Creek drainage

This a closer view of a portion of slides on that same slope, which was approved by state officials for a 106-acre clear-cut. The state requires buffer strips of uncut trees to be left along the stream. Portions of the buffers were knocked down by some of the slides, adding to the debris that washed downstream.
