The bride: Alice Walker, 26, Federal Way, graduating this month in nursing from Tacoma Community College. Her wedding is scheduled for September in Kauai.
The dress: An off-white, modified mermaid style in one of designer Vera Wang's signature fabrics, English netting, with a dropped waist and criss-cross ruching. The style feels very vintage (note the sparkle detail on each sheer strap), but the cut and shape are slightly more modern. Price: $3,800, at Marcella's La Boutique.
