2009's Top NW companies

Airline stocks have been among the least favorite during the market slump, but Alaska Air Group has been something of an exception. Alaska Air shares are trading close to where they were a year ago, and the outlook for the Seattle carrier is a good deal brighter than for its larger rivals. The Wall Street consensus estimate is Alaska will earn $2.07 a share this year. Add it all up and you get a high price-to-earnings (P-E) ratio.
