Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats Originals
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
1 package (10 ounces, about 40) regular marshmallows
or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies
1. Melt the margarine in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
2. Add Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well-coated.
3. Using a buttered spatula or waxed paper, press the mixture evenly into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cut into 2-inch squares when cool. Best if served the same day.

Victor and Rebecca's Most Excellent Treats
¼ cup butter, and extra to grease pan
10 ounces regular marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon chili powder
5 ½ cups Cocoa Puffs cereal
1 cup broken pecan pieces
1. Grease well a 9 x 13-inch pan with butter.
2. Melt the butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in cinnamon, vanilla and chili powder. Add Cocoa Puffs and pecans. Stir until well-coated.
4. Press mixture into pan with a sheet of waxed paper or a greased spoon. Let cool and slice into squares with a greased knife.
