Seven Washington ski areas rank among top 20 snow depths
Mount Baker third, Alpental fourth.

Despite a snow drought last month, seven Washington ski and snowboard areas still rank among the top 20 snow depths throughout North America, while many places like Utah, California and Colorado have been hit hard by a lack of snow.
Here are the deepest snowpacks through Wednesday, Jan. 4 provided by skiwashington.com:

2 — Alyeska, AK, 104{inch}
3 — Mount Baker, 95{inch}
4 — Alpental, 82{inch}

8 — White Pass, 72{inch}
9 — Steven's Pass, 71{inch}

12 — Crystal Mountain, 68{inch}
13 — Whitewater, B.C., 66{inch}
14 — Lookout Pass, ID, 64{inch}
