House wine, $6 each at happy hour. 1502 Pacific Ave., 253-627-3535 or http://pacificgrilltacoma.com
Breakfast: Catch the free Tacoma Link light rail to the downtown end of the line and walk a few blocks to the Stadium District's Puget Sound Pizza, which, besides baking good pizza, is known for one of Tacoma's best breakfast menus. Mother and Child Reunion (omelet with chicken breast, artichoke hearts and feta), $8.95; Pirate Spuds (baby red potatoes, grilled zucchini, red onion, mushrooms, bell peppers and melted Cheddar with two eggs), $7.25. Before checkout: Pick a museum, any museum (e.g., Museum of Glass, 1801 Dock St.; $10/adults; www.museumofglass.org) and take a walk on the esplanade along the Thea Foss Waterway. Other nearby choices: Washington State History Museum, www.wshs.org, and Tacoma Art Museum, www.tacomaartmuseum.org.
The damage: $255.65 + tax and tips.
