Grab your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews and pals and hop to an Easter egg hunt this weekend.
There are no real eggs because of food-safety concerns — just candy or other prizes — but otherwise the spring fun is the same as it's been for kids for generations: running around outside to find treats for their bag or basket. "Get there early," advises Seattle Parks and Recreation public information manager Dewey Potter. "Most hunts are organized by age groups, and with all the excitement, it can take time to figure out where to find your group." Kids need to bring their own bag or basket for their goodies and dress for the weather, since outdoor hunts are rain-or-shine events.
