A Few of My Favorite Things

More favorite places for fish 'n' chips

Readers sent a flood of responses about favorite fish 'n' chips spots. Here are more:

• "Far and away the best fish 'n' chips in the city is Sunfish Seafood (2800 Alki Ave. S.W., Seattle). Once we found this place, we stopped our quest for the best." Jeff Ellis, Seattle

• "The best fish 'n' chips in Seattle can be found at the Old Town Alehouse (5233 Ballard Ave. N.W., Seattle). The fish is breaded with panko (Japanese-style breading) for a yummy, crispy coating. The matchstick fries are tossed with grated Parmesan cheese and some secret spices. Fabulous!"

Lesa Milan, Seattle

• "Fish 'n' chips are my favorite and no one does them like Wally's Chowder House & Broiler (22531 Marine View Drive S., Des Moines), especially the fresh halibut 'n' chips. While you're there, try their chowder, it's the best in the area. Good service, view and reasonable prices." Cindy White, Renton

• "The best place for fish 'n' chips hands down is the Pilchuck Drive-In (205 Maple Ave., Snohomish). I have been going there for 35 years, since I was a kid. After a day of salmon fishing on the Snohomish River there is no better way to end the day." Robert Wallace, Lake Stevens
