We asked readers where they like to spend summer days at the beach:
• "Alki is a beautiful beach, near Alki Bakery (2738 Alki Ave. S.W.)!" — Natalia Andersen, Seattle
• "My favorite summer beach can be summed up in one word: Kalaloch (on the Pacific coast in the southernmost portion of Olympic National Park's coastal strip). Our family has been camping at this campground for nearly 50 years. Fourth generation members are now joining the experience ... There are several beach trails to explore; each offering its own unique natural wonder. Of course, you can't beat the friendly National Park rangers, sandy beaches, crashing surf and awesome sunsets from the bluff."
— Ardie Alonzo McLean, Snohomish
