A Few of My Favorite Things

Readers share tips about more spots for best breakfasts

Puget Sounders love to go out for breakfast. The favorites have been flooding in:

Kirkland Brown Bag Cafe (12217 N.E. 116th St., Kirkland, 425-822-9462). "The sign reads 'No sissy food here,' and they are right about that! My favorite breakfast item is the 'Diablo Omelet.' It comes with tons of hash browns and either homemade toast or a huge homemade biscuit!"

Tami Mathias, Kirkland

• "When my husband and I go to Seattle, we usually head to our favorite breakfast hideaway, The Breakfast Club (12306 Lake City Way N.E., Seattle, 206-361-2582). "The decor is old antiques and the service is like home. Try the Frisco or the California omelet."

Cheryl Nelson, Vashon

Señor Moose (5242 Leary Ave. N.W., Seattle, 206-784-5568). "The most authentic and amazing Mexican breakfast in Seattle."

Elizabeth Isaacson, Seattle

Alki Cafe (2726 Alki Ave. S.W., Seattle, 206-935-0616). "Good food, great service, beautiful scenery!"

Linda Guinasso, Seattle

611 Supreme (611 E. Pine St., Seattle, 206-328-0292). "The most amazing crepes in town." — Jessica Caballero, Mercer Island

Cafe Rozella (9434 Delridge Way S.W., Seattle, 206-763-5805). "Art, culture, bottomless coffee, tasty homemade breakfast burritos. Fireplace for fall/winter, outside seating for spring/summer."

Christine Conner, Seattle

Portage Bay Cafe (4130 Roosevelt Way N.E., Seattle, 206-547-8230). "Great for 'healthier' fare: pancakes, hashes including one with grilled veggies, French toast, crab cakes, black-bean pancetta cakes, creative omelets and scrambles and steel-cut oatmeal."

— Barry Hacker, Poulsbo
