A coastal razor-clam dig will occur at Twin Harbors and Long Beach today through Saturday. Digging is open noon to 11:59 p.m. each day. Copalis and Mocrocks beaches will not be open. Kalaloch Beach also will not be open because marine-toxin levels were above the cutoff. Low tides: today, minus-0.4 feet at 6:01 p.m.; Friday, -0.3 feet at 6:43 p.m.; Saturday, 0.0 feet at 7:22 p.m. The Jamaican Jam SuperPipe Competition is Sunday at Mount Hood Meadows Ski Area in Oregon. Open to all ages and abilities, cost is $15 per person, plus lift ticket. The guided trips, with a focus on environmental education and wildlife tracking, happen on weekends and holidays through this month. The beginner-to-intermediate course covers instruction on basic film- and digital-camera operation, exposure settings, light, composition and design. An optional half-day workshop is offered on weekends during the course. Cost is $95 per person, including optional weekend workshop.
