Richie Evoy scored his first goal for the Seattle Pacific men's soccer team, but the Falcons had to settle for a 1-1 tie with Humboldt State on Thursday afternoon at Interbay Stadium.
Seattle Pacific (2-0-2) dominated the game, outshooting Humboldt State 26-10 and piling up a 16-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Football
Garrett Rolsma kicked a 24-yard field goal with 4:13 left for the winning points in No. 9 Central Washington's 13-10 victory over No. 2 Minnesota-Duluth, snapping the hosts' 17-game winning streak.
Women's soccer
Kiersten Dallstream scored a pair of goals to lead visiting Washington State past Gonzaga 3-0 in a nonconference game in Spokane. Brandi Vega also found the back of the net for Washington State (3-1), which outshot Gonzaga (2-1) 13-8.
• Morgan O'Friel and Brittney Doran each scored for Eastern Washington (1-2), which fell 3-2 in double overtime to Texas-El Paso in Kirkland.
Volleyball
Priscilla Collings had 15 kills, including one that gave Seattle Pacific a try at match point in the fifth game, but San Francisco's Academy of Art fought it off and pulled out a 25-16, 24-26, 27-25, 16-25, 16-14 victory in the opening match of the Central Washington Invitational in Ellensburg. In a later match, the Falcons (2-5) fell 25-15, 25-19, 25-11 to 24th-ranked Sonoma State.
• Western Washington coach Diane Flick reached the 200-win plateau as the No. 21 Vikings (5-1) recorded a pair of sweeps at the CWU Invitational, beating Walla Walla 25-13, 25-16, 25-15 and Brigham Young Hawaii 25-23, 25-23, 25-21.
• Central Washington swept two matches in its tournament, beating Academy of Art 28-26, 17-25, 25-15, 28-26 and Evergreen State 25-7, 25-13, 15-11.
