Golf legend Gary Player to compete in Boeing Classic
The 73-year-old South African will make his third appearance in the Champions Tour event.
Golf legend Gary Player will play in the PGA Champions Tour's Boeing Classic Aug. 24-30 at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge.
The 73-year-old South African, one of only five players to win golf's career grand slam, has 163 tournament victories over five decades. He won nine majors and 24 PGA Tour events, and has won 19 times on the Champions Tour for golfers 50 and over.
In April, Player made his final appearance at Augusta, playing in The Masters for a record 52nd time. He will make his third Boeing Classic appearance.
Others who have committed to play in this year's tournament include past champions Tom Kite (2006, 2008), Denis Watson (2007) and David Eger (2005), as well as Fred Funk, Mark O'Meara, Nick Price and Jeff Sluman.
