CORVALLIS, Ore. — Danielle Lawrie pitched her second shutout in as many days and Jenn Salling drove in the winning run in the ninth inning, leading the fourth-ranked Washington softball team (33-7, 6-4 Pac-10) to a 1-0 win over Oregon State on Saturday at the OSU Softball Complex.

Ashley Charters led off the top of the ninth with her second hit of the game, then moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Kimi Pohlman. After Charters stole third, Salling pulled a hard ground ball to the right side which Oregon State's first baseman knocked down with a dive, but her throw to home was not in time to get Charters.

Lawrie (24-4) retired the side in order in the ninth, striking out cleanup hitter Audrey Roderfield to end the game.
