Jury in Castroneves trial is hung on one count of conspiracy: Driver Helio Castroneves, a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner and a champion on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," was acquitted Friday of most charges he worked with his sister and lawyer to evade more than $2.3 million in U.S. income taxes.
A federal jury in Miami acquitted Castroneves on six counts of tax evasion but was hung on one count of conspiracy. When the sentence was read, Castroneves sobbed.
The jury also acquitted Katiucia Castroneves, 35, who is her 33-year-old brother's business manager, on the tax-evasion counts but also hung on the conspiracy charge.
Michigan attorney Alan Miller, 71, was acquitted on all three counts of tax evasion and one count of conspiracy.
Moments later, Castroneves said he plans to compete in Sunday's Long Beach Grand Prix.

Biffle triumphs in Arizona: Greg Biffle of Vancouver, Wash., won the Bashas' Supermarkets 200, a NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Phoenix International Raceway, giving team owner Jack Roush 100 victories in the series.
Biffle didn't pit on the last stop, staying on the track as others got fresh tires; late cautions helped him. Kevin Hamlin of Snohomish finished 41st of 43.
Kahne says he will stay with RPM through at least the 2010 season: Kasey Kahne, a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver from Enumclaw, said he doesn't want to break his contract with Richard Petty Motorsports at the end of the season.
"I made a commitment to race with [the team] through 2010, so I'll do that for sure," said the 29-year-old Kahne.
Martin earns pole: Mark Martin turned a lap of 133.814 mph to earn the pole for today's Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. Biffle qualified in 13th place and Kahne qualified in 21st.
