Outdoors | Razor clam digging should be good

The next series of coastal razor clam digs will begin Thursday, and depending on the weather, diggers should find some decent opportunities.
Digging will be allowed from noon until midnight each day at Copalis and Mocrocks from Thursday to Sunday. Long Beach and Twin Harbors are open Friday to Sunday.
The previous dig on Oct. 16-18 drew 13,500 digger trips with people averaging 14.6 clams. A daily limit is the first 15 clams dug regardless of size or condition.
Since the digs will occur in the dark, lights or lanterns will be necessary. Checking the weather and surf forecasts are also advised. More digs are also scheduled Dec. 11-14.
Low tides: Thursday, minus-1.6 feet at 6:27 p.m.; Friday, -1.8 at 7:15 p.m.; Saturday, -1.6 at 8:04 p.m.; and Sunday, -1.2 at 8:54 p.m.
