Freshman forward Brent Richards scored a pair of goals for Washington in a 2-2, double-overtime draw Sunday with San Diego State in Pac-10 men's soccer action at Husky Soccer Field.

Richards scored in the third minute of the match and, after the Aztecs (3-8-3, 1-3-3 Pac-10) came back to score two straight to take a 2-1 lead, added his second goal in the 55th minute.

Washington and SDSU played their sixth overtime game in their last eight meetings.

The Huskies (8-5-2, 3-2-2 Pac-10), who remained in second place in the Pac-10 standings, ended the weekend with a loss and a draw after falling to UCLA 2-0 on Friday night. After a bye this weekend, UW has three more regular-season matches.

UW women earn third straight win

EUGENE, Ore. — Washington senior Jenna Robison scored the winning goal and also assisted on UW's first goal, giving the Huskies women's soccer team its third straight win with a 2-1 victory over Oregon.

Washington evened its Pac-10 record at 3-3 and improved to 12-5 overall with two crucial victories on the road against Oregon State and Oregon over the weekend. The Ducks fell to 7-7-2, 0-4-1.

Jessica Velazquez scored a second-half goal to help host Oregon State gain a 3-2 win over No. 21 Washington State (8-5-4, 2-3-1 Pac-10) in women's soccer. The Beavers broke a 21-match conference winless streak.

• The Gonzaga women's soccer team (7-9-2, 2-3) posted a 1-0 West Coast Conference victory over the University of San Francisco.

• The Eastern Washington women's soccer team (3-11-3, 1-4-1) defeated Northern Colorado 1-0 in a Big Sky Conference game.

Dave Farnam of Seattle put together rounds of 70 and 71 to win the third annual Fall Classic at the Classic Golf Club in Spanaway.
