Steve Largent: Tulsa plans to retire the former wide receiver's No. 83 jersey Sunday night, when the 22nd-ranked Golden Hurricane hosts Central Florida. Largent, who went on to a Hall of Fame career with the Seahawks, twice led the nation with 14 touchdown catches, in 1974 and 1975.
Cale Yarborough: The only driver to win three straight NASCAR titles (1976-78) never expected it would take 30 years for someone else — in this case, Jimmie Johnson — to challenge that record. "If he does it, I'll be in good company," Yarborough said.
