Reserve forward Kayla Stiegemeier scored a goal in each half Saturday, leading the eighth-ranked Seattle Pacific women to a 3-0 victory over No. 16 Chico State in a nonconference soccer game at Interbay Stadium.
Forward Amanda Johnson netted her team-leading third goal of the season 1:26 into the game.
Goalkeeper Maddie Dickinson wasn't required to make a save for SPU (3-0-1).
Horse racing
Jockey Kevin Radke, the leading rider this season at Emerald Downs with 100 wins, will miss the final three weeks of the season because he broke three ribs in a Thursday evening spill at the Auburn track. Radke, 36, also complained of a sore chest and a sore left knee, and said he would return to his hometown of Cleveland to recuperate.
Radke and Tropic Gem were leading the six-furlong sixth race when the 3-year-old gelding suffered a leg injury midway on the turn, sending the jockey hard to the ground. The injury to Tropic Gem proved fatal.
Volleyball
Seattle Pacific ended its season-opening eight-game trip with a 3-1 loss to host UC San Diego at the Triton Invitational. SPU (2-6) fell 24-26, 25-19, 25-19, 25-17. Sarah Risser posted eight kills to lead the Falcons.
• Seattle University fell in three sets to UCLA in the Nevada Tournament in Reno. The Bruins (5-1) won 25-19, 25-10, 25-20. Cristin Richards had six kills and two blocks for Seattle U. (1-5).
• Eastern Washington beat Washington State 3-1 at the Idaho Classic tournament in Moscow. EWU dropped the first set 25-27, then won 25-20, 25-16, 26-24.
Hayley Hills led the Eagles (3-3) with 17 kills; Cassie Robbins had 10 kills for the Cougars (3-3).
Earlier Saturday, Notre Dame swept Washington State 25-16, 25-22, 25-14. Emily Rooney led WSU (3-2) with 11 kills.

Also earlier Saturday, Eastern Washington fell in three sets to Idaho, 25-21, 25-15, 27-25.
• Outside hitter Shanley Besett had 23 kills as Western Washington posted a pair of sweeps in final-day action Saturday at the Cal State Monterey Bay Otter Invitational. The No. 9 Vikings (4-0) beat Eastern New Mexico 25-18, 25-10, 25-19 and William Jessup, 25-11, 25-5, 25-12.
• Central Washington swept Hawaii Pacific at the CWU Invitational in Ellensburg. Rachael Schurman had 11 kills for the Wildcats (7-1). Hawaii Pacific (1-7) fell 25-16, 25-23, 26-24.
Cross country
The Washington State women won the Clash of the Inland Northwest at Mead High in Spokane. Eastern Washington won on the men's side.
Paul Limpf of EWU finished the men's 6,000-meter race first in 19 minutes, 33.6 seconds.
WSU's Chelsea VanDeBrake placed third in the women's 4,000-meter race, in 15:43.4.
• The Seattle Pacific women won the St. Martin's invitational. Jane Larson finished the 6,000-meter course first in 23:06. The Seattle Pacific men placed third.
• Sarah Porter led the Western Washington women to a victory at the Whatcom CC Orca Cross Country Invitational at Lake Padden Park. The WWU men placed second. Porter finished the 5,000-meter course in 17:38.

WSU's Kevin Tucker is tied for second at 5-under 139 heading into today's final round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado.
• The Seattle Thunderbirds beat the Portland Winter Hawks 7-2 in the Red Lion Hotels Preseason Tournament in Kennewick. The T-Birds are 3-2 in exhibition games.
